The community fund has raised over $25,000 for local mental health organizations in Winnipeg, providing yearly donations in perpetuity through the Winnipeg Foundation.

A Critical Cause is a (usually, previously) yearly charity event and community fund run by, and for, people in Winnipeg who have struggled and are struggling with mental illness.
We want to make a difference in our city with better programs and resources to make living with mental illness something that doesn’t stop people from achieving their true potential.
For several years, we put together a 24 hour charity video game stream with amazing guests, crazy giveaways, and a ton of fun. We banded together as gamers to raise money for mental health initiatives in Winnipeg, and to talk about mental health in a safe and honest way.
Where does my donation go?
All gifts to this fund are be pooled and invested with the generated income distributed as grants from The Winnipeg Foundation to local registered charities.
These registered charities are community and provincially certified mental health organizations. As the original gift remains invested, your contribution will continue to benefit our community in perpetuity.
